We are not running self-serve checkout yet — request an invite and we'll set you up by hand. Your factbook carries from Free to Enterprise — one file, four tiers — so moving up is a config change, not a rebuild.

Questions before you pick a tier.

What does BYOK mean, and what does it cost me?

Bring Your Own Key. You provide your Claude / OpenAI / Gemini API keys. Kernora bills $0 for tokens — you pay the vendor directly. Token spend stays on your vendor invoice, where you can see it. (xAI is supported on a single pinned model, grok-4-1-fast-reasoning; other xAI models are not yet routable.)

Why is paid invite-only right now?

We have not built Stripe self-serve checkout yet. Until we do, every paid user is onboarded by hand so we can fix bugs and refine the BYOK + sync flow against real workloads. Indicative pricing is $19/mo for Nora Pro and $29/seat/mo for Nora Team — both will be confirmed when self-serve ships.

Where is my data stored?

On your device. Nora Free never leaves the machine — local-stdio MCP only, no relay. Nora Pro and Nora Team can opt in to BYO-S3 sync (your AWS account, your KMS keys); this keeps the bytes inside your cloud rather than ours. A hosted relay at mcp.kernora.ai is on the roadmap and not yet running production traffic.

What if I don't have a Claude API key?

Nora Free works with whichever vendor you wire up — Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, or local Ollama. The on-device factbook and the citation chips do not depend on any one vendor. Nora Pro adds in-app key management and routing across the vendors you have.

How is this different from ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro?

ChatGPT and Claude tie you to one vendor and one memory store. Nora grounds every answer in your factbook so the model does not fabricate about your team, and emits the same factbook into Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, and Kiro. The factbook is yours — exports, lives in your repo, survives the vendor.

Do you offer a free trial of Nora Team?

During the private beta there is no automated trial — once we onboard your team we agree on a no-charge evaluation window in writing, then convert to billing when self-serve ships. The factbook you build during the evaluation moves with you whether you convert or not.

What's not in any of these tiers today?

Self-serve checkout (any tier), SSO via OIDC or SAML, SCIM provisioning, the audit-log export, multi-tenant isolation, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and a 99.9% SLA are all on the roadmap and not shipped today. Vision, voice, and image generation are deferred to a later release. Ask us if you need any of these on a written timeline as part of a pilot.

Can I cancel?

Free never expires. Paid private-beta accounts can be wound down at any time — there is no annual contract during beta. Your .nora/ factbook stays in your git repo whether you stay or leave.
